The equipment “calibrates itself” when switching on on with the help of the 1,02nF-Kondensators. The tolerance of this condenser limits thus the attainable accuracy. Logical way is now best for condensers the calibration, which lie in approximately in the order of magnitude of the calibration condenser. With clearly larger or smaller condensers the error can become larger.
Karl Rainer B. (thank you) compared the results of measurement of his LC-meter-reproduction with the results of measurement of a high-quality LC-measuring bridge, and determined, which the measuring error rose its LC-meters with rising capacity of the test specimen strongly, and with 2 UF reached nearly 8%. The cause lay in the fact justified that the measurement by frequency change of the oscillator success, and which have used condensers in the oscillator and coils of values, which are somewhat periodical. Also the bad quality of the resonant circuit coil affected itself negatively.
The employment of high-quality construction units (glass capacitor for C8 and coil with small internal resistance for L2) eliminated the problem. It reached then an accuracy of 1% ± 1pF within the range of 1pF to 1,9uF. That is a better value, than I had expected.
