It is a regulator intensity of a lamp-controlled command of the TV.
Project undertaken with a 16F88 and CCS
Note: This was my first Dimmer. In February 2006 he published the minidimmer that surpasses the original in economics, size and performance. If you want to see it, (are here.)
The main feature of the dimmer is that it can “learn” the codification of any remote control and then acknowledge, thus becomes a versatile circuit that can implement virtually everyone in your homes.
The program is prepared to memorize 3 keys:
– A key off and lit the lamp, from 0% to 100% power and vice versa
– The other two up and down gradually the light, so the drop in intensity desired.
The microcontroller that I used for development is a PIC 16F88 and I must admit that goes luxury. The truth is that I had left plenty of memory, so it would have to prove if the program is able to fit on a smaller micro, if you want to ride another micro.
The program is done entirely in C, with the compiler CCS.
As infrared receiver, he used a TSOP1730, but also are valid models TSOP1736, TSOP1738 and TSOP1740. Indeed, I think the latter is compatible with a larger number of remote controls.
